With the arrival of the 2026 season pack for Le Mans Ultimate, the rest of the year's driverswap Special Events have been revealed, with the next running of the 24 hours taking place in October. Plus, potential future venues are being hinted at.
The driverswap Special Events on Le Mans Ultimate began in August 2025, and since then, it has been a constant string of events, including the first attempt at the 24 Hours of Le Mans back in November. Now with the 2026 content released, the team behind LMU have kindly detailed what the rest of the year will entail in terms of Special Events.
Now is a good time to get stuck into endurance racing with teammates on LMU, as there are plenty of events worth getting excited for. Including some at venues that are not currently confirmed for release.
Le Mans Ultimate - 2026 Special Events
As promised during their 2026 season pack reveal, there will be an event before the planned v1.4 release in July, and that will be a 6-hour race at Le Mans with the WEC classes of Hypercar, LMP2 and LMGT3. Curiously, all event dates listed seem to be on a Tuesday, but traditionally all Special Events run on Fridays through to Sundays, so with a listed date of June 23rd, it is perhaps more accurate to say this takes place from June 26th-28th.
Next up in July - presumably following the release of v1.4 - are a 4-hour event at Imola with ELMS content to coincide with the real-life event, then the same for the WEC 6 hours of Interlagos the following week. Two weeks after that, though, a 4-hour race at the first TBA venue, which features Hypercar, LMP2 and LMGT3 once more, so one can only speculate what this track will be.
In August, there will be two events: one following the ELMS 4-hour round at Spa, and the week preceding that, an 8-hour event once again featuring the three primary WEC classes. September contains events following the ELMS round at Silverstone and the WEC events at Circuit of the Americas and Fuji, but also an additional 4-hour race consisting of the Hypercar and LMGT3 classes once more at an unconfirmed track.
October is a major month as it ends with the second rendition of LMU's 24 hours of Le Mans, the week before follows the ELMS round at Portimão, but beginning the month is a ten-hour race with the three major classes. Once again, the venue for this event is unconfirmed, but considering there is a ten-hour race in October held at a certain track in the US, maybe that points us to what other tracks could be getting added.
There is just the solitary race in November with the WEC 8-hour season finale in Bahrain, then December has two events with a 6-hour race at Silverstone with Hypercar and LMGT3 and an unconfirmed venue hosting another six-hour race with the three WEC classes.
