Ahead of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Motorsport Games and Studio 397 have released a new update for Le Mans Ultimate featuring the 2026 season liveries, along with a couple of brand new cars.
Along with all the base game content for Le Mans Ultimate, we have been given the McLaren 720S, Ford Mustang, and Mercedes-AMG LMGT3 cars, the Genesis GMR001, BMW M Hybrid V8, and Aston Martin Valkyrie hypercars, and even the ELMS-spec LMP2.
With the 2026 World Endurance Championship season already well underway, it was inevitable that the current season's liveries would eventually be added to the title. That happens to be today, another nice pleasant surprise, and a by-product of that is a selection of updated and new cars.
Le Mans Ultimate - 2026 Season Update
Whilst not ready for this update, both the Alpine and Cadillac have had some minor visual changes for 2026, and the devs aim to have these ready for the V1.4 update planned for July. But the hypercar manufacturer with the biggest aesthetic overhaul is Toyota, having introduced the TR010, which is essentially a heavily revised GR010.
All of the 2026 season liveries will be freely available to those who own the cars already, as will the TR010, which everyone will have since the GR010 is part of the base game. Additionally, another car is being added for free that will result in a pre-existing car category being on rotation in Daily Races for beginner drivers.
For the LMP3 category, every car from the Ligier JS P325, Ginetta G61-LT-P325-Evo and Duqueine D09 has been made available via the ELMS content packs, meaning no car is immediately available to race in LMP3 races without having to buy any of those cars. In this update, though, a new entry in the category, the Adess AD25, will be readily available to all players.

One more feature being added is Polish localisation, which will please a few fans of the driver who was part of last year's overall winning entry, of course. Plus, as we have already covered, there have been art updates to Circuit de la Sarthe to reflect how the track will look for this year.
What Is Next?
Briefly touching upon it, Version 1.4 will arrive in July and in their own words, the LMU team promise that this update will be even bigger than this though did not go into specifics. Alongside that will be the next edition of the Season Pass, with more information set to be revealed in exactly one month's time, perhaps most likely on July 4th at the earliest.
Following the v1.4 update, there will be a 24-hour race (one can assume where it will be held) featuring the full 62-car grid. Until then, a selection of endurance Special Events will be scheduled to fill that void and help best prepare you for that race.

If anyone is attending the 24-hour event, head to the karting fanzone, where, together with Thrustmaster, there will be a major reveal. But if you are not going to the event, we will, of course, keep you all in the loop with what is on the horizon for LMU.
What will be the first thing you check out from the 2026 season content additions to Le Mans Ultimate? Let us know in the poll above as well as the comments below, and join the discussion in our LMU forum!
